Job Description

Carpenter’s Latrobe Specialty Metals operations, based in Latrobe, Pa., manufacture high-performance specialty alloys serving aerospace, energy and other demanding markets. Carpenter acquired Latrobe in 2012 to increase capacity to meet strong customer demand and to broaden the company’s product mix. Latrobe continues a century-long legacy of leadership in metals technology.

Production Operators

Starting Hourly Wage Ranges from $28.14 - $35.51

PRIMARY DUTIES

  • The primary duties are varied based on the department assigned. Assignments are based on experience and current company demand. Potential positionsinclude VIM/VAR Operator, VIM/VAR Helper, Saw Operator, Grinder Operator, Material Handler, Annealing Operator, I-Lab Operator, IUT Operator
  • Takes personal ownership for working safely and motivates others to maintain a safe work environment.

REQUIREMENTS

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Ability to work steady or rotating shifts
  • Ability to work overtime, including weekends
  • Experience in an industrial operations/manufacturing environment is preferable, but not required
  • Selected applicants will be required to pass a basic skills assessment.
