About the Opportunity

EvolveTalent® is partnering with a global leader in materials science and digital identification solutions to recruit a Production Operator – Screen Preparation & Reclaim. Operating in over 50 countries with approximately 35,000 employees worldwide, our client is dedicated to precision, high quality, and continuous innovation.

In this versatile and crucial role based at the Leiden area facility, you will be responsible for ensuring that used printing screens are cleaned safely and thoroughly, and that new mesh is professionally stretched onto frames. Working with chemical cleaning agents, precision stretching equipment, and industrial washers, your commitment to safety, precision, and quality will keep the production line running at peak performance. Additionally, as a hands-on team player with a flexible mindset, you will occasionally support other operational departments across the facility to ensure overall company success.

Key Responsibilities & Duties

• Cleaning & Stripping (Reclaim): Remove ink residue, emulsion layers, and adhesives from used screen frames using chemical cleaning agents and high-pressure washers.
• Screen Stretching: Remove old mesh, prep and sand frames, and professionally stretch new screen mesh onto frames to precise required tension levels.
• Process Control & Maintenance: Safely operate and maintain washing stations, tension meters, and chemical degreasers.
• Quality Control: Inspect cleaned and newly stretched screens for correct mesh tension, physical damage, and complete removal of grease or ghost images.
• Chemical Handling & Safety: Safely handle, dose, and store chemicals and frame adhesives in strict accordance with safety and environmental guidelines.
• All-Round Duties & General Support: Support colleagues in adjacent departments (such as preparation, finishing, ink mixing, or warehouse work) during peak periods, while actively maintaining a clean, organized, and safe facility environment.

Your Profile

• Education & Experience: Vocational/technical background (e.g., technical diploma or relevant experience in screen printing or industrial manufacturing).
• Skills: Prior experience with screen stretching or working within a screen printing facility is a strong plus.
• Mindset: Flexible, all-round team player who enjoys varied daily tasks and is eager to assist across different production areas when needed.
• Safety Awareness: Strict adherence to safety protocols and consistent, diligent use of required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) when handling chemical agents.
• Physical Fitness: Physically fit with a hands-on attitude, comfortable with standing, lifting, and handling machinery throughout the shift.
