Responsibilities:

  • Directly responsible for the production and maintenance process in the machines assigned. Under the Expert Manufacturing Technician (EMT) instructions.
  • Following guidance and procedures about production process, machine set up, change overs and machines repairs (Hands on) that needs to be done to comply with production work orders within the timeline, order and quality required. Ensure compliance with the PMP = Production Master Plan.
  • Request and assure the use of the correct materials in his/her machine assigned according with the bill of materials in the WO’s.
  • Pack product and make boxes ensuring safe, legal and quality products through assessment, inspections and verifications of processes at all stages of manufacturing.
  • Fulfill all the procedures generated by the company, including but not limited to: Set/Up, change overs, GMP’s, safety, quality, packaging specs., etc.
  • Ensure every mechanism in the machines works properly to achieve the production goals. Analyze its productivity and proceed with the follow up needed.
  • Provide to the Expert Manufacturing Technician (EMT) useful information to avoid problems, damage and faults in the machines. Perform in the machine activities following the EMT instructions.
  • Directly responsible for making fine adjustments under EMT support, assure the compliance of the operational standard parameters in the assigned machines.
  • Perform all work in accordance with established safety procedures, including lock-out/tag-out and notify of any unsafe conditions to Shift Supervisor, shift engineer, Manufacturing Manager or Safety Coordinator.
  • Perform all maintenance activities to include cleaning, inspection, lubrication and corrective routines to ensure the machines, molds and auxiliary machines are in the best possible condition per EMT instructions
  • Perform all work in accordance with established safety procedures including lock-out/tag-out and notify of any unsafe conditiond to shift supervisor, shift engineer, manufacturing manager or Safety coordinator.

Participate in preventive, corrective and predictive maintenance per priorities and instructions provided by higher levels

  • Support peers when his/her knowledge is needed.
  • Actively participate in improvement projects and support the projects undertaken by the organization, where he/she can add value.
  • Participate in department meetings of asset efficiency, analyzing the root causes of failures and provide solutions for improvement.
  • Assist in training coordinated by HR where participation is needed.
  • Report all work-related incidents.

Perform other related duties as assigned by Shift Engineer and/or managers.
