
Eaton’s ES GEIS BLD division is currently seeking a Production Operator (Fiberglass) - 1st Shift at our Pinckneyville, IL facility! The core hours are Monday - Friday, 7:00 a.m. - 3:30 p.m. Overtime may exceed these hours and be mandatory at times. The hourly rate for this position is $22.31 per hour.

The following outlines the primary responsibilities and qualifications for this position:
• Safely operate rung preparation and glue station equipment in accordance with established safety and quality standards.
• Perform assembly and packaging functions, including fittings assembly, straight-section assembly, straight/strut packaging, fittings packaging, and accessories packaging.
• Operate and use basic hand tools, including pneumatic tools and measuring instruments, to complete assigned tasks.
• Read, interpret, and work from basic engineering prints, drawings, and work instructions.
• Set up and utilize quality measurement tools, including calipers, micrometers, and tape measures, to verify product accuracy and specifications.
• Perform saw-related functions in a safe and efficient manner.
• Complete material handling tasks, including tasks that may require forklift operation; ability to obtain and maintain a forklift license/certification as required for the role.
• Handle materials and components of varying sizes and shapes as part of daily job responsibilities.
• Perform tasks requiring repetitive use of hands and manual dexterity to support production processes.
Minimum Qualifications
• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
Preferred Qualifications
• Experience working in a fiberglass manufacturing environment preferred.
• Minimum of one (1) year of experience in a manufacturing or production environment.
• Ability to perform job-related physical activities such as standing, walking, bending, stooping, and reaching throughout the work shift.
• Ability to remain in a standing position for extended periods of time, which may include most of an 8–10 hour shift, as required by job duties.
• Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull materials of varying sizes, shapes, and weights, up to 50 pounds, as required by essential job functions.
• Ability to grasp, handle, and manipulate materials and tools on a frequent basis.
• Ability to perform repetitive motions, including frequent use of hands, wrists, and arms, to support assembly and production tasks.
• Ability to safely operate tools and equipment requiring manual dexterity and coordination.
• Ability to move around the work area, including walking between stations, equipment, and materials as needed.
