Production Operator

Maple Grove, MN

Schedule: 3rd Shift: 10PM - 6AM (Sunday - Thursday)

Pay: $25.00 per hour + $2.00 Shift Differential

The Production Operator I is responsible for performing entry-level manufacturing and production activities in accordance with established H.B. Fuller safety, quality, and operating procedures. Working under supervision, this position supports the preparation of raw materials, operation of production equipment, product testing, packaging, and maintaining a safe and organized work environment.

Primary Duties & Responsibilities

  • Prepare raw materials and packaging supplies by identifying, measuring, and transporting the correct quantities to designated production areas.
  • Operate manufacturing and processing equipment in accordance with established work instructions, operating procedures, and safety guidelines.
  • Monitor production equipment and processes to maintain established operating speeds, efficiency, and product quality.
  • Perform initial product testing and quality checks to verify compliance with established specifications and report any deviations.
  • Verify product labels and packaging materials to ensure accuracy and compliance with established labeling requirements.
  • Package finished products according to production instructions and H.B. Fuller quality standards.
  • Accurately document production activities, including process start and completion times, and report any abnormalities or deviations.
  • Follow all applicable Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) policies, company procedures, and regulatory requirements.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area in accordance with housekeeping standards.
  • Identify and communicate equipment concerns, material discrepancies, and production issues to the appropriate supervisor.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by the Production Supervisor or Production Manager.

Minimum Requirements

  • High school diploma, GED, or equivalent education.
  • No previous manufacturing or production experience required.
  • Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office or similar computer applications.
  • Ability to read, understand, and follow work orders, production instructions, safety regulations, and quality procedures.
  • Ability to follow verbal and written instructions and work effectively in a team-oriented manufacturing environment.
  • Willingness and availability to work assigned shifts.

Preferred Qualifications

  • One year of experience working in a manufacturing, production, or industrial environment.
  • Basic understanding of English.

Physical Requirements & Work Environment

  • Ability to stand for extended periods throughout the workday.
  • Ability to walk, climb stairs, stoop, bend, stretch, and reach with arms extended.
  • Frequent use of hands and arms to handle materials, remove packaging, and lift boxes.
  • Ability to regularly lift up to 50 pounds and up to 100 pounds with assistance.
  • Ability to work in a chemical manufacturing environment with exposure to varying temperatures, dust, odors, and noise.
  • Ability to follow all required safety procedures and utilize appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).

Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to education, work experience, certifications, and geographic location.

The salary for this role is $25.00 per hour + $2.00 Shift Differential.
