POSITION SUMMARY:

The Production Handler – Coatings Removal works as a member of the Coatings Removal team adhering to productivity standards in accordance with company prescribed safety and quality.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Prioritizing daily tasks
  • Loads and unloads ovens and tanks
  • Processes product though chemical dip system and other specialized coatings removal dipping operations
  • Packages product for shipment
  • Complies with the benchmark processing times
  • Rotates parts from the stripping process to the wash bay, RP, dry-off ovens, and packing area
  • Power wash parts and products with a 3000psi power washer
  • Load hand baskets and rotate parts from one basket to the other
  • Identify and sort parts to download into containers
  • Reposition parts
  • Complete wash logs, oven logs, and weight charts
  • Operate scales
  • Start burn off oven and dry-off oven
  • Participates in continuous improvement activities
  • Adhere to all safety policies and procedures
  • Ensuring highest level of safety standards
  • Effectively, timely, and respectfully communicate and interact with other employees, supervisors, individuals from other organizations, and customers
  • General housekeeping of the plant and surrounding areas
  • Comply with all Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) requirements and safe handling practices as required from Safety Data Sheets (SDS) and company procedures
  • Follow WHMIS, MSDS and all other safety training requirements and procedures
  • Follow all government and regulatory requirements when handling and transporting chemical materials
  • Fostering a positive work environment
  • Regular and sustained attendance
  • Perform other duties as assigned or needed

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 1-2 years of manufacturing, warehouse or production experience
  • 1-2 years of sit-down forklift experience (previously certified is a plus)
  • Ability to read and follow safety rules, operating procedures, etc.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to communicate well with the other team members and leaders.
  • Proficient with writing routine reports and correspondences
  • Experience troubleshooting and solving problems
  • Experience with warehouse management software (dynamics 365 a plus).
  • Demonstrated experience adhering to deadlines
  • Knowledgeable of standard tools and equipment
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Working knowledge of ISO, OSHA, and EPA regulations preferred
  • A professional and positive attitude
  • Able to lift 50 lbs.
  • Frequently required to stand, walk, and use hands to feel and handle; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; and talk or hear.
  • Standing and /or walking a minimum of 6 hours of an 8-hour shift.
  • Specific vision requirements include close vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
  • Experience in the Coatings Removal industry a plus!

EDUCATION QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent

OTHER INFORMATION:

  • Full-Time (40 hours a week), occasional OT
  • Work Days - Monday - Friday
  • Start Time: 6:00 AM
  • Benefits: Health Insurance, PTO, Holiday Pay, 401K Match

This position works in an enclosed building that is subject to variances in temperatures, extreme heat in summer, and colder temperatures in winter. This position frequently lifts, pushes, pulls or carries up to 50 - 75 pounds of product. This position can work various hours.
