Job Description

Production & Operations focuses on designing, managing, and improving production processes and business operations, as well as manufacturing technologies and supply chains. The role involves working with modern systems such as SAP and dashboards, some of which are self-programmed. This is a cross-functional and international environment that offers performance-driven, diverse challenges and exciting projects.

Responsible for manufacturing, processing, kitting and packing of all products related to Webasto Thermo Fenton’s product portfolio. (Heating, Cooling, Hose Assembly, kits and spare parts)

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Essential duties and responsibilities may include, but are not limited to, the following:

  1. Achieves or exceeds production output, quality objectives and customer requirements.
  2. Ability to use hand tools, power tools, measuring instruments. (Drills, impacts, torque tools, calipers, etc)
  3. Ability to operate and monitor intermediate machines used in production processes. (Crimping machine, Gluing machine, Hose Cutting, and End of Line Test equipment)
  4. Problem solving skills related to parts and equipment used in production process.
  5. Follows HSE standards and ensures use of PPE according to policy and Work Instructions
  6. Actively participates in continuous improvement and provides improvement ideas for Production.
  7. Supports quality objectives and customer requirements.
  8. Ensures workspace is orderly and clean at the end of each workday, meets 5S requirements.
  9. Follow ISO14001/9001, IATF/TS16949 processes, as required
  10. Everyone has the responsibility and right to stop production or shipment if they suspect product does not meet quality requirements.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

High School Diploma

2 years’ experience in production assembly facility or applicable work environment.

Knowledge of:

  1. Manufacturing, assembly and kitting.
  2. Production Orders and Inventory.
  3. MS Outlook, Word and Excel (Basic)
  4. Work Instructions, Work orders and basic Quality documentation.

Ability to:

  1. Comprehend work instructions and related assembly documentation
  2. Solve problems related to one’s functional area
  3. Work in a Team environment and interact with other departments
  4. Provide a high degree of commitment, resilience and sense of responsibility
  5. Adhere work schedule, arrive on-time and ready to work.
  6. Work overtime as required by customer demands.
  7. Communicate professionally and effectively.

Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. Basic communication skills such as talking, seeing, and hearing are needed for frequent person-to-person contacts, and telephone usage
