Primary Duties & Responsibilities
1. Manufacturing Management & Productivity
Manages production activities at their level to ensure processes run smoothly, maintain productivity, and consistently attend their assigned duties to ensure volume targets are met.
2. Continual Improvement
Actively participate in the implementation of process improvement projects, such as EECIP, Bright Ideas, COQ, and other cost savings initiatives in the various areas within the assigned Production plant.
3. Environmental, Health and Safety
Actively participate in the implementation and maintenance of Good Housekeeping procedures, investigation of near-misses and incidents, and ensuring that these are reported and commitment dates for closure of the actions are followed.
4 Documentation and Quality
Safeguards product quality through careful execution of the PSM and WI, observation of process conditions and timely correction of any deviations. Ensures all data, observations, and actions are properly recorded to support quality, traceability, and compliance.
5 Personnel Relations
Contribute to positive personnel relations by maintaining effective communication and cooperation with coworkers to support smooth and efficient plant operations.
Education & Experience
At least high school graduate with at least one (1) year experience as Production Operator in a chemical, metallurgical or materials production environment
Skills
1. Able to maintain a high level of output without sacrificing quality and effectively use of equipment to sustain high productive output.
2. Facilitates Change - Encourages self and others to seek opportunities for different and innovative approaches in addressing work-related problems and facilitates the implementation and acceptance of change within the workplace.
3. Builds Trust/Operates with Integrity – Encourages open communication with co-workers and superior to achieve mutual understanding on the specific roles that he/she has to perform.
4. Initiates Action – Takes prompt action to accomplish assigned tasks and keen in developing creative solutions to routine problems within the workplace, with prior confirmation with his/her superior.
5. Manufacturing Technical / Professional Knowledge and Skills – Handles mathematical calculations with ease and accuracy, as well as applies sound analytical thinking.
6. Computer/software skills: Familiarity in the operations of a personal computer (PC)
7. Can communicate effectively in the English language, both verbally and in writing.
Working Conditions
Working condition are normal for a chemical laboratory environment. Work may involve lifting of materials and product up to 25 kg. Working in this environment requires the use of safety equipment and personnel protection equipment to include but not limited to; safety glasses, hearing protectors, safety shoes/boots and hardhats. Loose fitting clothes and jewelry are not permitted to me worn.
