The Production Operator, working closely with the Technical Services Supervisor, is responsible for operating and monitoring the assigned machines in the printing and coding facility. This role requires experience in a production environment, an efficiency-oriented mindset, and strong communication skills to ensure seamless operational flow.
ROLE
• Ensure all machines are operated in the correct way and according to production plan with an efficiency mindset in printing and coding facility
• Ensure operator level maintenance/cleaning activities listed in maintenance plans are carried out properly for assigned machine/machines in printing and coding facility
• Take necessary actions with supervision of Technical Service Supervisor to reduce the waste
• Ensure production quantities, waste quantities and reason for waste are recorded without any delay
• Report any failure on production process to supervisor immediately
• Operate all assets in factory including flexo-press, finishing machinery (QC, slitting and sheet cutting) and coding machinery
• Track and record usage of the inks on the machinery and stock
• Track and report usage of consumables for all machines in printing and coding facility
• Suggest improvements to reduce waste
• Undertake any other tasks that may be a part of the job
PROFILE
• Minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent technical certification
• At least 3 years of hands-on experience in Flexo printing within the label market
• Flexibility to work in shifts and/or on an on-call basis
• Proficient in using hand tools and capable of performing tasks at heights or carrying loads as required
• Prior experience in printing, packaging or pharma is highly desirable
• Strong teamwork, professional communication skills, and a high level of safety and compliance awareness
• Familiarity with MS Office Suite, basic SAP knowledge is a significant advantage
• Basic proficiency in English is an asset
• Valid forklift license is preferred; otherwise, a willingness to obtain certification and operate a forklift when necessary
