About your role

We have a unique opportunity for two Production Operators to join our Timaru site in the south Canterbury region of New Zealand. We are looking for dedicated, hardworking go-getters with a positive attitude to assist with the manufacture, batching, mixing and down packing of various chemicals.

We have two Full time permanent positions available!

In this role, you will demonstrate the knowledge and experience you’ve gained in a manufacturing environment, such as forklift driving, preparing packaging, labelling, working with chemicals and operating machinery.

Key Responsibilities

  • Forklift operation
  • Raw material collection and preparation
  • Product labelling of various packaging sizes such as IBC’s, drums and pails
  • Washing and testing of product packaging
  • Minor IBC repairs
  • Operation of automated and manually operated chemical mixing plants
  • Perform ship unloading at Timaru Port on a monthly basis
  • Maintaining a clean and tidy workplace to effectively manage hazards
  • Working strictly to approved processes and procedures
  • Assist in offsite Warehouse Operations as is required.

Who are we looking for?

  • Some experience working in a manufacturing or warehousing environment
  • Forklift experience (preferably with a forklift license)
  • Computer literacy to an intermediate level
  • Good communication and time management skills
  • Problem-solving skills and the ability to think on your feet
  • Enthusiasm, dedication and motivation with the ability to create a positive work environment with a strong focus on safety
