The primary focus of a Production Operator is to fabricate assemblies while following all WireCo policies, procedures, and work instructions. The position also includes reading blue prints, using tape measures and other measuring devices to calculate the cut length of rope lengths to meet the customer requirement. There may be other duties that are work-related tasks as assigned by management.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Time Entry
  • Accuracy of product per customer specification
  • Operating presses, stamping machines, and other machines
  • Following specifications and standards in an ISO 9001 work environment

Supervisory Responsibility

  • None

Shift Availability:

2nd shift (2p – midnight) Tuesday – Friday

$20.20/hr + $1.00/hr Shift Differential

Monthly Incentive Payments after a 90-day probationary period is complete.

Materials and Equipment Directly Used

  • Standard office equipment including, but not limited to: computer, mouse, keyboard, telephone, fax, calculator, multifunction copier
  • Personal protective equipment, including safety glasses, hearing protection, gloves, and steel-toed safety shoes
  • All production equipment including, but not limited to cut track, swager, press, coiler, tow motor, hoist, and fork truck
  • All measuring devices, which would include, but not limited to: ring gages, hardness tester, tape measure, micrometers, dial calipers, proof loaders, etc.

Qualifications

  • Fluent in English
  • Basic computer skills
  • Possess math skills and mechanical aptitude.
  • Must have the ability to learn to use and read micrometers, tape measure, feeler gauge, and basic hand tools.
  • Must be able to stand/walk on concrete floors for 10-12 hour shifts.
  • Must be able to push/pull, and lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Must be able to work in extreme environmental conditions with temperatures ranging from 40-100+ degrees Fahrenheit.
  • Production Operators must possess the ability to learn all processes and show competency
  • A high school diploma or GED

  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without restriction.
  • An applicant must complete a satisfactory background check post-offer of employment. A criminal conviction will not be an automatic bar to employment.
  • Must be willing and able to pass a post-offer drug screen and physical (if required)
