Description

We're looking for a hardworking and safety-focused Production Operative to join our Raw Materials team in Tilbury. This is a hands-on role supporting the processing of inbound and outbound materials, operating plant equipment, loading containers, maintaining high housekeeping standards, and helping keep our site running efficiently.

You'll play a key role in ensuring materials are processed safely, effectively, and in line with production requirements while contributing to a positive, team-focused working environment.

Shift Pattern: Monday to Friday days, 48 hours per week.

Key Responsibilities

• Supporting daily production activities and material movements across site
• Operating mobile and static plant equipment
• Inspecting incoming wood loads and identifying contamination
• Loading containers and vehicles with finished product
• Carrying out pre-start checks and reporting defects
• Assisting with routine maintenance and housekeeping activities
• Recording operational data and completing required documentation
• Following all health, safety, environmental, and operational procedures
• Supporting colleagues and wider site operations when required

Skills, Knowledge and Expertise

• A strong commitment to health, safety and environmental standards.
• Ability to work effectively within a team.
• Good communication skills.
• Ability to work in an operational, outdoor environment.
• Experience operating mobile plant (Loading Shovel, Telehandler or similar)
• Previous experience working within waste, recycling, manufacturing, aggregates or industrial operations.
• Experience working to production targets and procedures
