Job Description

Newstaff Employment Services is currently seeking a dedicated Production Operative to join our team at the Letchworth site on a 8.30am - 5pm shift. This role involves working on the production line to support the manufacturing process, ensuring products are made to the highest quality standards efficiently and safely.

As a Production Operative, you will be responsible for operating machinery, assembling parts, performing quality checks, and maintaining a clean and safe workplace. We welcome candidates who are hardworking, reliable, and keen to develop their skills in a collaborative environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Operate production equipment safely and effectively following established procedures.
  • Assemble products and components accurately to meet quality standards.
  • Carry out regular quality inspections and report any defects.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the work area.
  • Work collaboratively with team members to achieve daily production targets.
  • Adhere to all health and safety regulations and company policies.
  • Report any machinery faults or safety concerns promptly.

Requirements

  • Previous experience in a production or manufacturing environment is preferred but not essential.
  • Ability to work efficiently within a team and follow instructions.
  • Good attention to detail and a strong focus on quality.
  • Reliable and punctual with good time management skills.
  • Willingness to work flexible shifts as required.
  • Basic understanding of health and safety practices in a production setting.
