Job Description

Cookline Operative – Join the Team Behind Rustlers

What do you think when you hear Rustlers? Big Flavour? Convenience without compromising quality? The perfect fake-away at home.

At Kepak, our passion for food and people drives everything we do. Behind every product is a skilled team working together in a fast-paced, hands-on environment.

It’s demanding, but if you’re ready to keep up, we’d love to have you on the team.

Two-Shift Rotation (06:00 – 14:00 / 14:00 – 22:00)

*Starting on £13.86 per hour, increasing to £14.57 when part-trained and £15.40 when fully trained.

What You’ll Be Doing

As a Cookline Production Operative, you’ll be right at the heart of the action:

  • Getting hands-on with preparing raw materials and keeping the production line fed and happy
  • Staying physically active – you’ll need to be comfortable lifting up to 30kg as part of your daily routine
  • Switching seamlessly between teamwork and going solo to keep the daily plan on track - from setting up the line to carrying out essential checks
  • Hygiene clean downs take place twice weekly using industrial equipment. The role is physically demanding and involves working with raw products and in a warm environment, so a hands-on approach is essential.
  • Playing your part in a great team where everyone pulls together to get it right first time
  • Keeping quality sky-high and safety front of mind – we’re proud to hold a quality BRC AA* rating for food safety and quality, and we intend to keep it that way
  • Bringing a positive, can-do attitude - energy and enthusiasm go a long way here
  • Using a keen eye for detail (because the little things really do matter)
  • Taking Health & Safety seriously - no shortcuts
  • Staying flexible and ready to roll with the needs of the business (no two days are quite the same!)

What’s In It For You?

Joining Kepak means becoming part of a welcoming, multi-cultural and multi-lingual team where everyone is valued and included, and where there’s always something going on:

  • 20 days holiday (plus bank holidays), with the option to treat yourself to 5 extra days - and even more as you stick with us
  • Real opportunities to learn, grow and develop your skills - with dedicated onsite training and a strong focus on promoting from within
  • The chance to earn a performance bonus for a job well done
  • Long service awards – because loyalty deserves recognition
  • A free Culture Conscious Meal every month - celebrating the different backgrounds and cuisines across our site
  • GroceryAid Employee Assistance Programme - support when you need it, whether that’s emotional, practical or financial
  • BUPA Cash Plan to help with everyday healthcare costs
  • Our Values Awards - recognising those who go the extra mile and make a difference
  • Life assurance for that extra peace of mind
  • A subsidised canteen and free hot drinks to keep you fuelled
  • Free onsite parking

A Bit More About the Role

This isn’t always an easy job - the environment can be cold, and the work is physical. But you’ll be part of a supportive, inclusive team where everyone plays their part, looks out for each other, and takes pride in what they do.

And when you’re helping produce thousands of products people love every day, it’s definitely rewarding.

Ready to Get Started?

If you’re a team player with a great attitude and you’re ready to get stuck in, we’d love to hear from you.
