Context & Environment

This role serves as a key coordinator and focal point for various Field Operations (FOPS) activities, including custodianship of the production dashboard, coordination of new Company Management System (CMS) procedure development, Integrated Operations Planning (IOP), and Sarbanes-Oxley Act (SOX) reporting. The position is responsible for overseeing asset integrity activities, including production wells, managing and tracking all field operations contracts, compliance requirements, audits, reviews, regulatory inspections, and support requests (HSE, RFM, REX, etc.). It also acts as the primary interface between production operations and internal stakeholders such as Assets, Planning, Subsurface, Construction, and Development teams, as well as external stakeholders including MPM POM, downstream operators (MLNG, PBOCC, SKA), and JV partners. In addition, the role provides operational support to ensure safe and continuous offshore production, coaches operations teams on newly commissioned assets, best practices, and new operating standards, and drives the resolution of outstanding punch list items and operational issues.

Activities

  • Influence the highest levels of decision-making by working closely with senior leadership and presenting operational strategies, improvement initiatives, and business-critical recommendations that directly impact asset performance.
  • Drive operational excellence and cultural transformation by aligning existing offshore and onshore operations with TotalEnergies' global standards, best practices, and performance expectations.
  • Serve as a key interface with regulators and JV partners, representing the organization in strategic discussions on production performance, operational challenges, compliance, and value-creation opportunities.
  • Take ownership of the bigger picture, providing an integrated view across operations, maintenance, projects, HSE, and stakeholder requirements to ensure safe, efficient, and optimized production delivery.
  • Lead and influence across functions, building strong relationships with both internal and external stakeholders to deliver operational commitments, close critical actions, achieve compliance requirements, and meet performance objectives.
  • Oversee contractor performance and accountability, ensuring third-party service providers consistently meet TotalEnergies' operational, technical, and safety standards.
  • Be at the forefront of production-critical decision-making, navigating complex operational challenges, balancing competing priorities, and delivering timely solutions that maximize asset availability, reliability, and production efficiency.

Candidate Profile

  • Bachelor's Degree (or equivalent) with 15+ years of offshore oil & gas experience, including 3-5 years as an Offshore Installation Manager (OIM) and a proven track record in senior leadership roles. Current and former OIMs are strongly encouraged to apply.
  • Respected operational leader with deep offshore experience and the ability to influence senior management, regulators, JV partners, contractors, and multidisciplinary teams to achieve business and production objectives.
  • Strong problem solver and decision-maker, capable of identifying operational gaps, managing complex challenges, and delivering practical solutions that enhance safety, reliability, and production performance.
  • Broad cross-functional expertise with a holistic understanding of operations, maintenance, projects, HSE, and asset performance, enabling effective integration of competing priorities and stakeholder requirements.
  • Thrives in high-pressure operational environments, combining technical credibility, strong communication skills, and collaborative leadership to drive execution excellence and sustainable results.
