Job Description

Overview

We'rd looking for a Production Materials Specialist to join our team.

This position plays an important part in keeping manufacturing operations moving by making sure production teams have the correct materials when and where they need them.

This is a full-time position, 1st shift, Monday-Thursday 6:00am-4:30pm.

Minimum pay is $18.00 hourly.

Responsibilities

  • Locate and pull inventory based on production requirements and work orders
  • Transport materials throughout the facility to support production needs
  • Enter inventory movements and material transactions into the company’s ERP system
  • Use scanning technology to document and track materials
  • Replenish warehouse shelves and designated storage locations
  • Keep inventory clearly labeled and stored in the proper locations
  • Report missing or insufficient materials so shortages can be addressed
  • Maintain an organized and safe warehouse environment
  • Operate approved material-handling equipment when properly trained and authorized

Qualifications

  • Atleast 2 years of hands-on warehouse, picking, distribution, stockroom or similar material-handling experience
  • Previous experience selecting and preparing materials or inventory to fulfill production needs
  • Experience working with RF scanners preferred
  • Comfortable using computer-based inventory or ERP systems to document material movement
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Able to manage assigned responsibilities independently and keep pace with daily production demands
  • Willing and able to operate powered material-handling equipment after completing requiring training/certification
  • Comfortable working in an active environment that requires prolonged standing, walking, reaching, bending, kneeling, and crouching
  • Able to safely work from ladders and step stools when retrieving or stocking material
  • Able to routinely handle materials weighing up to 50 lbs., with occasional lifting or movement of items up to 75 lbs.
