Production Manager (Trailers)

Lead end-to-end factory operations in a growing trailer manufacturing business

The Role: Production Manager

This is a hands-on leadership role overseeing all aspects of trailer production. You will be responsible for planning, execution, team performance, quality control, and operational efficiency. The position exists to ensure on-time delivery of high-quality trailers while continuously improving factory processes and maintaining a disciplined, safety-first culture.

Key Responsibilities

• Minimum 5 years experience managing a production floor or factory operation

• Plan, schedule, and coordinate production to meet deadlines and turnover targets

• Lead a team of 30+ staff, including 5 foremen, with clear performance tracking

• Ensure trailers meet specification and quality standards through rigorous checks

• Enforce safety, legal compliance, and high housekeeping standards (e.g. 5S)

• Drive process improvements to eliminate waste and boost efficiency

• Provide technical guidance across welding, fabrication, and trailer assembly

• Maintain discipline, attendance, and continuous development of team members

About You

• 5+ years of experience in a production management role

• Strong leadership, planning, and problem-solving skills

• Proven track record managing teams and achieving production targets

• Firm approach to discipline, quality, and operational control

• Knowledge of trailer manufacturing processes beneficial

• Familiarity with welding, 12V electrics, plumbing, or cabinet fit-out an advantage

• Hands-on, proactive, and focused on continuous improvement
