Job Description

Position: Bakery Manager Reports to: Plant Director

We are looking for a Bakery Manager to join our Operations team at our Rossville Plant! Our Bakery Manager is primarily responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of the production bakery!

Opportunities

We are looking to add a strong people leader to help us coach and develop our employees, improve existing and implement new processes, and build a great culture on the floor! You will have a hands-on role working alongside the Plant Director, managing and developing production systems that increase productivity, quality, food safety, and efficiency! You must be comfortable working in a dynamic environment as there are lots of things on-the-go, including unforeseeable and changing priorities! However, you will get the opportunity to be heavily involved with improving our processes and ensuring we deliver quality products to our customers in a timely manner. You will also have a chance to develop your leadership skills further and grow your career with a progressive family-owned company.

Experience

  • You have at least 3-5 years of production management experience preferably in a food manufacturing environment

Nice-to-Have

  • Degree or Diploma in a related field

  • Manage the daily activities and controllable costs of the bakery
  • Manage, motivate, coach and guide the production team to ensure that they have the ability to deliver results
  • Manage and develop the team and maintain a positive work culture
  • Drive continuous improvement in plant operations, health and safety, and product quality
  • Work with other departments to coordinate activites and accomplish bakery goals
  • Ensure that effective manufacturing practices are continually utilized while meeting health and safety regulations
