Job Description

Responsible for leading XRX FIF production operations from NPI build and ramp-up through stable mass production. The role ensures safe, compliant and disciplined shopfloor execution, builds production-team capability, and drives delivery, quality, cost and productivity performance through capacity planning, standard work, daily management and continuous improvement.

Responsibility

Main Task

1. Lead, coach and develop the production organization; define roles, staffing plans, skill matrices, training, certification and succession coverage for supervisors, line leaders and operators.
2. Own daily production execution and achievement of safety, quality, delivery, cost and people objectives; translate build plans into shift, line, manpower and output plans and manage recovery actions when targets are at risk.
3. Establish rigorous shopfloor management, including tier meetings, shift handover, hourly output tracking, visual management, escalation, 5S, discipline and closure of production abnormalities.
4. Lead production readiness for NPI builds and MP ramp-up, covering manpower, training, line layout, equipment and tooling availability, materials, work instructions, quality controls, EHS conditions and contingency plans.
5. Drive stable ramp-up and mass-production performance by monitoring and improving UPH, FPY/yield, OEE, labor efficiency, line balance, downtime, scrap, rework and on-time delivery.
6. Ensure strict execution of approved SOPs, process parameters, control plans, ESD requirements, traceability and change-control instructions; stop and escalate operations when significant safety, quality or compliance risks exist.
7. Coordinate rapid containment and recovery for material, equipment, process, quality and staffing issues; partner with Quality, PE/FA, ME, Supply Chain and NPI/OPM teams to drive root-cause closure and prevent recurrence.
8. Plan capacity, shifts and direct labor according to demand and standard time; identify bottlenecks and lead line balancing, multi-skilling, productivity and layout improvements to support flexible output.
9. Control production operating expenses, overtime, consumables, scrap and rework losses; prepare production budget inputs and deliver approved cost-reduction and productivity initiatives.
10. Maintain production governance and compliance with EHS, quality-system, information-security and company requirements; support audits, customer visits, business continuity and emergency response.
11. Build a transparent, accountable and continuous-improvement culture using Lean, structured problem solving and data-based decision making.
12. Perform other duties and tasks as assigned by the supervisor

Qualification

Education

University graduate or above.

Major

Industrial Engineering, Electronics, Mechanical, Automation or related engineering discipline

Work Experience

Minimum 8 years of relevant manufacturing experience, including at least 3 years in a production leadership role. Hands-on experience in FATP/electronics or precision assembly, NPI builds, production ramp-up and high-volume manufacturing is required; experience in EMS/ODM or customer-facing manufacturing is preferred.

Knowledge And Skill

Strong knowledge of production planning and control, capacity and manpower planning, line balancing, standard work, Lean manufacturing, OEE, UPH, FPY/yield, ESD, traceability, change control and structured problem solving such as 8D, DMAIC and 5-Why. Familiarity with MES/ERP and data-based shopfloor management is preferred.
