Job Summary

We are looking for a Production Manager in our Vancouver, Washington factory location, who is responsible for the process flow and production of printed products and is accountable for World Class Manufacturing (WCM) continuous improvements in process control, waste, and Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE). As our Production Manager, you will have eight (8) Direct Reports and will focus on managing, directing and developing supervisors and process leaders while providing key leadership to employees working in the factory. This position reports to the Factory Director.

The position is based in Vancouver, Washington.

What you will do

As a Production Manager, you will:

  • Lead and develop a group of production supervisors and Process Leaders to provide for alignment within their crews, increasing employee engagement, WCM maturity, and accountability for performance within their teams.
  • Participate in the WCM steering team as well as the Autonomous Maintenance Pillar.
  • Take a lead role in continuous improvement teams in the factory to develop WCM maturity focused on business results.
  • Work cross functionally with other managers to ensure a high-quality product is created in a safe manner to deliver world-class service to the customer.
  • Participate in Standing and Plant Operations Committee as management member with union personnel and handle 2nd step grievances.
  • Manage capital projects as assigned to provide for proper integration with existing manufacturing processes.

We believe you have

  • A Bachelor’s Degree related to manufacturing, engineering or business, or equivalent level achieved through experience.
  • 5+ years of experience in a manufacturing supervisory and/or managerial role.
  • Experience in packaging, paper, plastics, converting, or industrial manufacturing environment is preferred.
  • Experience working with ERP (enterprise resource planning) systems is a plus.
  • Experience with time-clock systems such as Kronos preferred.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
  • Expertise in Excel including pivot tables and formula usage an advantage.
  • Ability to understand and program in VBA coding for macros usage is also advantageous but not required.

Pay Equity

Tetra Pak provides the following compensation range that in good faith believes it might pay and/or offer for this position. The range displayed reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position across all US locations. Ranges are determined by role, level and location. Within the range, individual pay is defined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.

This compensation range is based on a full-time schedule. The estimate displayed is just one component of Tetra Pak's total compensation package for employees. Other rewards include annual performance bonus, competitive benefits, and work-related allowances.

  • Annual Base Salary Range (ABS): $ 103,800 USD - $ 148,100 USD
  • Short-term Incentive/Bonus (Variable Pay): Eligible to performance incentive of 10% of ABS
