The Operations / Manufacturing / Production Manager is responsible for managing day-to-day production or service center activities, ensuring efficiency, quality, and safety in manufacturing or service processes. This role supervises teams, coordinates resources, and supports continuous improvement efforts.
This job profile is intended for People Managers of 4+ junior to experienced expert-level roles.
This job and its associated grade are specifically aligned with roles that have the following scope of responsibility: Small, Medium organization.
Key Responsibilities
Supervise teams and ensure adherence to schedules.
Monitor production or service metrics and implement improvements.
Ensure compliance with safety and quality standards.
Coordinate with maintenance and logistics to support operations.
Train and develop team members.
Support implementation of lean manufacturing practices.
Report performance and issues to senior management.
Skills & Qualifications
Typically a University degree (or equivalent work experience) and 6+ years of relevant work experience are minimally required to be able to manage and coordinate one or more expert-level teams.
Experience in manufacturing or production management.
Strong leadership and problem-solving skills.
Familiarity with lean tools and continuous improvement.
Proficiency in production software and reporting tools.
Effective communication and team-building abilities.
