The Production Manager provides leadership for all production Team Members within a department or Value Stream. Responsible for creation and achievement of production schedules and posting of daily work assignments. Serve as the driver behind Quality, Cost, Delivery, Safety and Morale in the department or Value Stream.

What You’ll Do:

• Provide leadership for all production Team Members within a department or Value Stream.
• Maintain all time, attendance, and disciplinary action records for each direct report in a timely manner.
• Ensure team members are up to date and trained to perform assigned functions within Master Control.
• Responsible for day-to-day compliance and adherence to Avalign and FDA quality system requirements.
• Manufacturing point person for product and process knowledge for department or Value Stream.
• Point person for department or Value Stream for Maintenance, HR, Quality and Engineering.
• Ensure product flows at established lead-times through manufacturing cell.
• Lead daily production review walk. Drive corrections to solve issues and escalate when needed.
• Ensure management is informed of all significant developments regarding the operation.
• Set production plans for department across all shifts. Set overtime needs.
• Set cross-training plans across all shifts using training matrix method.
• Ensure key constraints are managed and properly staffed.
• Set direction and drive accountability for off shift supervision on production, staffing and quality needs.
• Responsible for recruitment, development, promotion, and disciplinary actions of hourly Team Members.
• Responsible for overall performance management for hourly Team Members, including preparing and delivering annual performance reviews.
• Perform spot quality checks, 5S audits, Layered Process Audits.
• Help drive/lead continuous improvement projects.

What You’ll Need:

Education and/or Experience:

• High school diploma required, Bachelor’s degree a plus.
• Minimum of 6 years combined industry (biomedical, medical device) and/or military experience; or 8 years of combined industry, military and/or related (general manufacturing, quality, or logistics) experience.
• A combination of education and experience will be considered.
• 3+ years leadership experience preferred; may include military leadership experience.
