What you’ll do:

The primary responsibility of this position is to oversee the entire production process, ensuring efficiency, quality, timely delivery, effective resource management, implement company standards and policies, and provide technical support to subordinates. He/She must also ensure compliance with safety regulations, maintains effective communication across teams, and may participate in strategic planning, sustainability initiatives, or special projects to improve production capabilities. Assist Production Department Manager in attaining the company’s targeted organizational goals.

  • Lead in developing production strategy and plans towards the attainment of the manufacturing targets.
  • Develop, review and implement short- and long-range plans to ensure Manufacturing Performance as against targeted goals.
  • Initiates programs that would enhance and improve operations objectives especially those pertaining to Safety, Quality, Delivery, Inventory, Environment, Productivity, Cost and Employee Engagement.
  • Coordinate and collaborate with the different departments to ensure efficient Production flow
  • Provide direction, training and development of team members for sustaining improved Productivity, develop Production Team Organizational Capability to meet & exceed functional/plant goals
  • Acts as a role model to ensure alignment and compliance with local laws, Eaton’s Safety, Policies, Values and Ethics
  • Implementation and adherence to Eaton Business System, Eaton Quality System, Eaton Lean Six Sigma and other Corporate Programs implemented in the operations.
  • Foster an environment of Employee Engagement by embracing Continuous Improvement Culture tools
  • Drive deployment of the Production Operations processes, and help develop and improve these processes
  • Prepare Annual Performance Appraisals for direct reports
  • Assure adherence to Plant policies, procedures and standard work
  • Maintain work area housekeeping and assist in department/team housekeeping efforts.
  • Report unusual conditions, safety issues or defective material to supervisor
  • Provide for the training and development of team members to support their technical capability as well as their professional and personal growth
  • Lead in maintaining an atmosphere of Continuous Improvement and team efforts for accomplishing department and plant goals.
  • Conduct GEMBA walks and participate as required in General Plant Communication.
  • Manage special assignments and projects assigned by Production Department Manager.
  • Responsible for the implementation and deployment of actions to ensure compliance with local company and other adopted standards (e.g. ISO, other international product standards)

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree required with at least 10 years of relevant experience in Production or Operations, including 5 years in a managerial capacity
  • Strong managerial and leadership skills with a clear understanding of both operational needs and business objectives
  • Ability to quickly analyze operational inefficiencies and implement improvements
  • Advanced knowledge of lean manufacturing principles, including deployment and measurement
  • Working knowledge of SAP (not necessarily a super user)
  • Broader understanding of business operations beyond core scope, including production planning, materials management, warehouse, quality, and supply chain/localization (preferred)
  • Experience in high-mix, low-volume operations within light engineering or manufacturing industries
  • Working knowledge of Customs and PEZA rules and regulations
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Strong employee relations and people management skills
  • Ability to drive change and promote adaptability within the organization
  • Capable of handling multiple tasks and priorities effectively
  • Ability to address complex, high-level operational challenges using both traditional and innovative approaches
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to identify trends
  • Tactical understanding of the near-term/local impact of strategic decisions on operational efficiency
  • Professional presence with confidence and the ability to communicate vision at all organizational levels
  • Strong collaboration skills with the ability to build and lead the right team to achieve objectives
