We are seeking a Production Manager who will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of live poultry production within our Oklahoma Complex, including grow-out operations, animal welfare, biosecurity, and field staff management. This role ensures birds are raised efficiently, ethically, and in compliance with company standards and regulatory requirements, while meeting production, quality, and cost objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
Oversee daily live production operations, including broiler/breeder performance, placement, and harvest schedules
Monitor flock health, growth rates, feed conversion, and mortality trends; implement corrective actions as needed
Collaborate with hatchery, feed mill, and processing teams to ensure alignment across the production cycle
Build and maintain strong relationships with contract growers
Provide technical guidance and training to growers on best practices in poultry husbandry
Evaluate grower performance and address performance gaps
Lead, coach, and develop a team of field technicians and supervisors
Set clear performance expectations and conduct regular evaluations
Foster a culture of accountability, safety, and continuous improvement
Analyze production data to identify trends and opportunities for improvement
Manage budgets related to live production operations, including cost control initiatives
Drive process improvements to enhance productivity and reduce waste
Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations related to poultry production
Promote and enforce workplace safety standards across all operations
Ensure strict adherence to animal welfare standards and biosecurity protocols
Conduct routine farm visits and audits to verify compliance with company policies and industry regulations
Partner with veterinary teams to manage flock health programs, vaccinations, and disease prevention
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Poultry Science, Animal Science, Agriculture, or related field (or equivalent experience)
5–10 years of experience in poultry production or live operations, with at least 3 years in a leadership role
Strong knowledge of poultry production systems, animal health, and welfare practices
Proven leadership and team management skills
Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities
Strong communication and relationship-building skills
Ability to analyze data and translate insights into action
Proficiency in production management systems and Microsoft Office
Frequent travel to farms and production sites
Exposure to agricultural environments, including dust, odors, and varying weather conditions
Availability to respond to urgent production issues outside standard working hours
