We are looking for an experienced Production Manager to join Mycronic's Global Technologies division working within our Applied Plasma business line (Surfx Technologies). It is an exciting time to join our team in Taichung City, Taiwan!

Surfx Technologies is a fast-growing company that offers atmospheric argon plasmas for the high-volume manufacturing of integrated circuits, semiconductor packages, printed circuit boards, and other microelectronic devices. These automated plasma machines are an excellent choice for surface cleaning, activation, and metal oxide removal. The Surfx team delivers this atmospheric argon plasma technology for assembled products that are less likely to corrode, delaminate, or come unglued during their lifetime. Our customers include the world's leading semiconductor manufacturers and technology companies.

The Production Manager is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the manufacturing floor, ensuring that production targets are met safely, efficiently, and to the highest quality standards. This role bridges the gap between strategic planning and hands-on execution, requiring a leader who can optimize workflows, manage a diverse team, and drive continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities

  • Identifies bottlenecks and implements process improvements
  • Supervises the product assembly and engineering teams
  • Ensures all operations comply with industry regulations, internal SOPs, and safety protocols
  • In conjunction with the General Manager, monitors production costs, manages labor budgets, and identifies opportunities for cost savings without compromising product integrity
  • Coordinates and monitors production schedules to ensure on-time delivery
  • Provides weekly reports on production progress to management
  • Maintains accurate records of production output and employee performance
  • Fosters a culture of accountability, safety, and professional growth

Experience and Qualifications

  • Ten (10) or more years' experience in manufacturing and engineering
  • Strong leadership and problem-solving proficiency
  • Familiarity with MES/ERP systems and statistical tools
  • Excellent organization, communication, and interpersonal skills
  • Professional working proficiency in English and Mandarin
  • Must hold valid work authorization for Taiwan (please note we are unable to provide immigration sponsorship for this position)

Education, Certificates, Licenses, and Registrations

  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, industrial engineering, or supply chain management
  • Production and Inventory Management Certification (CPIM), Manufacturing Management Certification (CTME) is preferred

Compensation

Salary will be commensurate with experience. Expected range is up to NT 850,000 – NT 1,900,000 per year.

Specific vision abilities required by this position include close vision, distance vision, and the ability to adjust focus. The noise level in the work environment is usually low to moderate.

A mix of production floor presence and standard office work is required.
