Job Description
The Production Manager in the Logistics Distribution and Supply Chain industry oversees the manufacturing process in a factory or warehouse setting. They lead and manage the production team, develop project plans, and optimize production processes to ensure high-quality goods are produced in a timely and efficient manner.
Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage the production team
- Develop project plans, schedules, and budget estimates
- Track and report on production metrics
- Design and implement production processes and workflows
- Perform regular inventory and quality control checks
- Train and mentor staff
- Liaise with suppliers, production partners, and other stakeholders
- Manage equipment maintenance and repairs
- Analyze production data and develop recommendations for process improvements
- Ensure products meet regulatory standards and customer specifications
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Operations Management, Manufacturing, Engineering, or another relevant field
- Several years of experience in production management
- Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills
- Strong communication and leadership abilities
- Knowledge of health and safety regulations.
