Role Purpose

To manage all Production processes (dyeing and finishing) and staff development, ensuring that throughput demand is manufactured safely, efficiently, and consistently, to the highest quality standards, and contributing to improving overall customer service lead time through delivery of continuous improvement projects.

Responsibilities :

• Develop and implement preventive maintenance schedules for production equipment to minimize downtime.
• Ensure compliance with environmental regulations and promote sustainable practices within the production process
• Develop and implement production plans and schedules to meet customer demands and production targets.
• Analyse production data and metrics to identify opportunities for efficiency gains and cost reductions.
• Implement Lean or Six Sigma methodologies to streamline processes and minimize waste
• Establish and enforce quality control procedures throughout the production process.
• Conduct regular inspections and audits to ensure compliance with quality standards.
• Investigate and address any quality issues or deviations from standards promptly.
• Develop and implement preventive maintenance schedules for production equipment to minimize downtime.
• Ensure compliance with environmental regulations and promote sustainable practices within the production process
• Implement and enforce safety procedures and protocols to ensure a safe working environment.
• Conduct regular safety inspections and audits to identify and mitigate potential hazards.

• Lead and manage a team of production staff, providing guidance, training, and support.
• Foster a positive work environment that promotes teamwork, accountability, and professional growth.

Qualifications

• Bachelors degree in chemical engineering, Textile Technology, Industrial Engineering, or related field required.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in a production management role, preferably in the textile or manufacturing industry
• Strong technical knowledge of dye thread manufacturing processes and equipment.
• Proven leadership abilities with experience in managing and developing teams.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a focus on driving continuous improvement

• Proficient in spoken English.
