Job Description

Duties and responsibilities:

  • Managing of Production Staff to ensure a motivated and high performing team
  • Managing of all machine and plant maintenance.
  • Assisting with fault identification and fixing of root cause and ensuring the accurate completion of production logs and job cards.
  • Machine efficiencies of < 85%
  • Identification and achievement of measurable technical and process developments and improvements.
  • Establish the budget for mould expenses and equipment including the control of consumable costs.
  • Controlling spares usage and costs.
  • Partnering with Quality to ensure the correct standards in accordance with ISO quality system are maintained.
  • Ensuring they run a Polyoak standard Factory
  • Overseeing and assisting with training of all Production staff
  • Working with Quality to ensure a safe working environment by adhering to safety procedures.
  • Ensuring Proper housekeeping by maintaining a minimum score of 95% on the housekeeping checklist and 100% adherence to the dress code.

 Qualifications and experience:

  • N4 a minimum (mechanical or electrical)
  • Engineering Degree or ND advantageous
  • 5 plus years Manufacturing Production experience, FMCG environment
  • 3 - 5 years Production Management experience essential in a continuous production environment
