Job Description

Direct management of all manufacturing operations. Position is directly responsible for safety, quality, schedule adherence, cost improvement, training, problem resolution, job assignments, standard work, and Rapid Continuous Improvement (RCI) in the manufacturing operations.

Responsibilities

  • Promote workplace safety. Believe that all injuries are preventable and correct unsafe conditions/behavior immediately.
  • Utilize a systematic problem-solving approach to investigate and solve problems (safety, quality, cost, delivery, other)
  • Promote the development of associates.
  • Lead role in injury and near-miss investigations using a root cause analysis process.
  • Maintain and improve 6S standards, conduct audits.
  • Utilize the Snap-on Rapid Continuous Improvement process and conduct kaizen events to eliminate waste and improve cost.
  • Promote progressive practices to maintain a non-union work force.
  • Ability to effectively manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment while maintaining quality and meeting established deadlines.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in an assembly, distribution, and/or warehouse management role leading large teams
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Management, or equivalent, preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of and commitment to safety
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from all levels.
  • Ability to apprise a situation and counsel team members accordingly.
  • Continual improvement and development of personal and professional skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities
  • Flexibility to effectively schedule and adjust project timelines as priorities shift with business needs.
  • Strong understanding of Rapid Continuous Improvement tools and the ability to use them to identify and resolve business problems.
  • Ability to influence cross-functional teams using problem-solving, negotiations, and conflict resolution to reach viable customer-oriented solutions.
  • Ability to work independently and within a team environment, and to cover multiple shifts and locations as business needs dictate.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office suite products, including Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, and Word; prior experience with warehouse management systems preferred
