KEY RESPONSIBILITIESOperations Leadership

  • Direct and manage all daily warehouse and distribution operations across multiple shifts.
  • Oversee inbound receiving, outbound fulfillment, internal transfers, and cross-dock processing.
  • Establish and enforce standard operating procedures to ensure consistent, efficient workflows.
  • Monitor KPIs and operational metrics; identify trends and implement corrective action plans.


Team Management & Development

  • Lead, coach, and develop a high-performing team of supervisors, leads, and associates.
  • Manage workforce planning including hiring, scheduling, performance reviews, and disciplinary actions.
  • Foster a positive, inclusive work environment with a focus on employee engagement and retention.
  • Conduct regular team meetings and one-on-ones to communicate goals and provide feedback.


Food Safety & Quality Compliance

  • Ensure full compliance with food safety regulations, AQL standards, and internal quality controls.
  • Maintain rigorous inventory accuracy controls and support audits and inspections.
  • Partner with QA teams to investigate and resolve food safety or quality incidents promptly.


Transportation & Logistics

  • Oversee transportation operations including dispatch, routing, and carrier coordination.
  • Ensure full compliance with DOT, OSHA, and all applicable regulatory requirements.
  • Collaborate with logistics partners to optimize delivery performance and reduce transportation costs.


Financial & Operational Planning

  • Develop and manage the facility's operational budget; drive cost control and efficiency initiatives.
  • Provide accurate forecasting and capacity planning to support business growth.
  • Analyze operational data using ERP systems and reporting tools to guide strategic decisions.
  • Lead continuous improvement efforts using lean, process optimization, or similar methodologies.


REQUIREMENTS

  • Minimum 7–10 years of progressive leadership experience in warehouse and distribution operations, including inbound, outbound, transfer, and cross-dock functions.
  • Proven experience leading multi-shift teams and managing full-site operations.
  • Strong knowledge of food safety standards, AQL requirements, and inventory accuracy controls.
  • Demonstrated experience overseeing transportation logistics, dispatch, routing, and DOT/OSHA compliance.
  • Proficiency with ERP systems, reporting tools, and performance metrics.
  • Experience with budgeting, cost control, and operational planning.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and decision-making skills.
  • Ability to work a 6-day work week with flexible availability based on operational needs.
  • Fluency in both English and Spanish is required
