Job Description

The Production Manager owns the operations function — planning, organizing, directing and controlling production activities to ensure all food preparation and packaging comply with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs), Food Safety regulations, and Kraft Heinz standards. This role is both strategic and tactical and is designed for someone who likes to roll up their sleeves and build processes from the ground up.

This role offers career growth opportunities, including progression toward a future Plant Manager role.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the implementation and ongoing management of the QRMP (Quality Risk Management Process) system and operational standards as outlined in the plant accountability list.
  • Participate in QRMP audits and develop procedures and corrective actions.
  • Ensure adherence to Kraft Heinz quality standards, GMPs, SOPs, and company specifications to guarantee product quality and food safety.
  • Prepare departmental costs and variances related to productivity, planning, labor scheduling, product scheduling, raw materials, packaging supplies, product weights, sanitation and housekeeping.
  • Organize and facilitate production line activities to meet requirements for quality, safety, employee relations, productivity, cost and scheduled output volumes.
  • Work cross-functionally with Product Development, Suppliers, Engineering, Quality, and Factory teams to improve product quality and productivity.
  • Support employee involvement in Safety, Analytical Problem Solving, Project Planning, Vendor and Customer Relations; foster a collaborative team atmosphere.
  • Monitor and update area practices and policies to maintain compliance.
  • Collaborate with the Product Supply Group on weekly scheduling of Packaging and Processing to optimize productivity.
  • Prepare, distribute and follow up on required records, reports and forms.
  • Monitor productivity data and develop corrective action plans to meet annual productivity targets.
  • Implement safety measures and conduct monthly departmental safety meetings; ensure hourly employee compliance through salaried supervisors.
  • Report on quality defect issues and drive corrective actions to eliminate recurring failures.
  • Embrace KHGPS principles and support change management techniques that develop a culture of continuous improvement and engagement.
  • Assist with supervision of Production staff, including performance management and employee development.

Who You Are / Qualifications

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment is required.
  • Minimum 5 years of progressive leadership experience in a manufacturing environment is required.
  • Comfortable with both strategic planning and hands-on operational execution.

New Hire Base Salary Range:

$120,800.00 - $151,000.00

Bonus: This position is eligible for a performance-based bonus as provided by the plan terms and governing documents.

The compensation offered will take into account internal equity and may vary depending on the candidate's geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors
