We are on a journey of continuous growth – now looking for our next star – a passionate Production Manager This position reports to Operations Manager and will work in Stuart, FL.

About the position

As Production Manager of the Stuart team, you will be involved in capacity planning to ensure labor scheduling meets production demands. This position will use the Dometic Production Systems, engage the team, and ensure safe, efficient, and high‑quality production. This position drives a collaborative culture, delivers zero‑incident safety, maintains top product quality, and achieves on‑time delivery.

Your Main Responsibilities

  • Planning & scheduling daily production
  • Full responsibility for KPI accuracy (efficiency, quality, throughput, utilization)
  • Ability to extract, verify, cross-check, and present data
  • Must maintain integrity of KPI reporting tools
  • Must detect and correct data inconsistencies, data logic test
  • Capacity planning to ensure labor scheduling meets production demands
  • Provide accurate information for plant production and scheduling through timely reporting and recordkeeping
  • Coordinate with cross-functional business teams to develop the best economic strategy for production planning to support customer demand
  • Ensure rapid communication in response to changes in the production schedule to all departments with a strong sense of urgency
  • Sets priorities, allocate work to assembly team and supervise to satisfy production schedules and ensure plant efficiency targets are maintained at the highest possible level while meeting or exceeding quality requirements, be flexible to meet customer demands
  • Continuously monitor and control the quality of products and manufacturing processes to ensure adherence to specifications
  • Address quality issues in production and conduct root cause analysis
  • Work inter-departmentally to drive continuous process improvement and implement new Dometic Production System (DPS) methods
  • Work cross functionally with Engineering and Quality team to resolve questions and problems related to manufacturing processes, design specifications or equipment
  • Lead employees in the more complex phases of their work and complete job training, cross training in lean manufacturing and Kaizen principles to support continuous improvement
  • Support Environmental Health & Safety initiatives to maintain a safe work environment and meet OSHA and legal safety requirements.
  • People Manager - production assemblers including performance, coaching and giving feedback, change management, timecard management

Skills & Requirements

A suitable background would be a solid experience within production management and manufacturing as well as the following qualifications and experiences:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Industrial Engineering, or related field preferred
  • 5+ years' experience within a managerial role in a manufacturing/production industry preferred
  • Lean and Continuous Improvement manufacturing experience required
  • Competency in building production schedules
  • Capacity analysis and load leveling experience with accuracy and timeliness for production scheduling
  • Independent production scheduling ability
  • Working knowledge of Lean Production Systems (Just in Time, bottlenecks, takt, waste)
  • Ability to lead/teach process improvements
  • Experience with KPI reporting: ability to build accurate reports, validate data, identify anomalies and resolve errors
  • Fundamental electrical conceptual knowledge, electrical products or electronics
  • Knowledge of marine specific electrical processes, process optimization, quality inspection methods and standards a plus
  • Experience with manufacturing ERP/MRP systems preferred
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office programs Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint required
