Job Description

Production Manager

Curtiss-Wright is looking for a Production Manager for our new facility in Chonburi, Thailand, reporting directly to the General Manager. As Production Manager you will be responsible for the efficient day-to-day operations of a highly technical manufacturing plant consisting of precision machining operations and valve product assembly and test. You will be directly managing all manufacturing activities of the facility to attain monthly / quarterly / annual shipment, quality, and cost goals along with associated business unit metrics and compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations.

Location: Chonburi, Thailand

Your Challenge:

  • Assist head office and management team in setting up machining and assembly operations, engage and coordinate internal and external resources to ensure on time completion of all capital projects within budget and in compliance with quality expectations.

  • Responsible for implementing strategies and plans, in conjunction with other functional departments, to increase productivity, decrease costs, improve quality and customer satisfaction.

  • Provide leadership to ensure efficient and consistent application of processes and procedures across all manufacturing lines.

  • Establish production schedules to meet customer demand while managing labor costs set for the production department. Establishes and maintains lead time standards.

  • Lead and facilitate continuous improvement activity while deploying Lean Manufacturing continuous improvement opportunities. Maintain 6S standard throughout the plant.

  • Work closely with Quality Department to implement corrective/preventive action. Conduct product failure analysis and design improvements in compliance with relevant regulations and standards for the products.

  • Establish training program in conjunction with Quality Department and HR to train employees and monitor employee progress as necessary.

  • Ensures that physical plant and equipment are maintained properly, utilizing both internal and external resources through institution of proactive measures and project management programs. Oversee maintenance and provide technical support when necessary.

  • Manage capital and facility projects related to valve manufacturing and tests, and valve certification programs by local and international institutions.

  • Maintain compliance with the quality regulations, environmental and safety regulations.

What You Bring:

  • Bilingual in Thai and English, Mandarin Chinese a plus.

  • University degree or above in engineering (mechanical, manufacturing or instrumentation).

  • 3+ years’ supervisory experience in a CNC machine shop, Assembly and Test industrial environment, desirably with a multinational company in valve manufacturing Industries.

  • Strong planning, time management, communication, and team-building skills

  • Strong project management and implementation skills, and experience in new manufacturing facility set up and start up

  • In depth experience with an ERP package in a manufacturing environment a plus

  • Familiarity with the valve industry, and related codes such as NB, ASTM, ANSI, ASME, API, PED, and local (Thailand) standards.

  • Good knowledge of PC Software.
