We have an exciting opportunity for a Production Location Manager to join our company and support our Laurinburg, North Carolina location - responsible for Soybean, Wheat, and Corn rework production.

As the Production Location Manager, you will lead a team of employees and seasonal workers to safely produce high-quality seed on-time to meet distribution and delivery to customers. We are seeking a strong leader in this critical role to manage field, plant, and distribution operations and provide leadership and decisions to staff on operational questions related to their areas and responsibilities. Utilize your strong communication skills to build internal and external relationships, deliver great results, and be effective in this leadership position.

This role will be on site at the Corteva location.

What You’ll Do:

  • Lead by example and actively foster a culture that embodies and advances the company’s core values, ensuring alignment across the entire team. Those values include: safety, quality, productivity, delivery, and people
  • Coach, support, develop a team of direct and indirect reports responsible for field, maintenance, production, warehouse & logistics, scheduling and training in a manner that fosters effective collaboration and teamwork
  • Hold employees accountable for achieving performance results and demonstrate work behaviors that promote collaboration and teamwork in an effective manner
  • Ensure adherence to quality standards, plant policies, and standard operating procedures, as well as all regulatory compliance (safety, wage/hour laws, product, etc.)
  • Serve as the primary partner with the community, actively building and sustaining meaningful relationships to support the company’s mission and local initiatives
  • Lead and contribute to strategic planning efforts, ensuring alignment between site objectives and the overall company vision
  • Build collaborative relationships by actively networking and engaging with cross-functional teams to drive shared goals and enhance organizational effectiveness
  • Act as primary contact for Incident response
  • Holds fiscal responsibility for the site, including field, production, maintenance, and warehouse expense
  • Oversee projects, team members, timelines, and deliverables to ensure productivity objectives are met
  • Implement best practices and ensure these practices are sustained
  • Participate in network teams to drive positive change beyond site level
  • Other duties as assigned

Education:

  • · Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in operations, agriculture, business, engineering or related applicable discipline

What Skills You Need:

  • Credible, effective leader with at least 7 years of experience in leadership or supervisory roles
  • Strong understanding of operational effectiveness in production, maintenance, supply chain, engineering, manufacturing, or another related field
  • Proven performance development and coaching/feedback skills
  • You can effectively work with and manage people (HR Background) from diverse backgrounds to achieve cross-functional collaboration
  • Results-orientated and have strong priority management skills
  • Excellent interpersonal communications
  • Committed to safety and quality
  • Change management and innovation experience
  • A valid driver’s license
  • Willingness and flexibility to work extra hours, including weekends and holidays, when required during seasonal peaks to ensure production demands are met both in the plant and in the field

What Makes You Stand Out:

  • Experience in row crop with emphasis on seed production
  • Willing and able to relocate for future career opportunities
  • OSHA or ISO certification experience
  • Microsoft and data analytics experience
  • SAP and WMS systems experience
  • LEAN Manufacturing and/or Six Sigma experience and certifications
  • Experience with finances and budgeting
  • Experience with crisis management
