Title: Production Leader

Department: Laser, Design and Die (LDD)

Location: 1104 Hawn Ave., Shreveport, LA

Wage Category: Non-Exempt

Report To: Production Supervisor

Duties include, but are not limited to:

Production Management

  • Coordinates the activities of workers and schedules workflow according to the production schedule.
  • Coordinate and collaborate closely with the Quality Control Department to ensure compliance with ISO 9001 standards, address quality-related concerns, and maintain consistent product or service excellence through effective communication and teamwork.
  • Support Quality Assurance Inspectors in conducting in-process quality inspections, ensuring compliance with established standards, identifying potential defects, and maintaining product quality throughout the production process.

Inventory Processes

  • Assist with all inventory activities, including monthly and annual inventories, by tracking, organizing, and maintaining accurate records to ensure proper inventory levels and efficient operations.
  • Monitor inventory levels and promptly report any materials or supplies required to replenish operating stock to the Production Supervisor or Director, ensuring uninterrupted production and operational efficiency.
  • Assist with processing daily production orders, shipments, and receiving tasks within the designated Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system, ensuring accurate data entry, inventory tracking, and efficient workflow management.

Machine Operations

  • Provide comprehensive training to machine and laser operators involved in daily operations, ensuring they are equipped with the necessary knowledge and skills.
  • Demonstrate the ability to operate all machinery within the Laser, Design, and Die Division as needed to support production and maintain workflow continuity.
  • Perform routine preventive maintenance and minor repairs on all machinery within the Laser, Design, and Die Division to ensure optimal performance, minimize downtime, and extend equipment lifespan.

Safety Processes

  • Ensure all work areas are maintained in an organized, clean, and hazard-free condition, adhering to established safety regulations.
  • Stay informed of and follow all provided safety guidelines and protocols to promote a safe and compliant work environment.
  • Other duties as assigned.



Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Ability to operate office equipment (computer, Bizhub, fax, and calculator).
  • Must have a minimum of five years of experience in a manufacturing-related environment.
  • Minimum of one year of industrial machine operations experience.
  • Must be mechanically inclined.
  • Good oral and written communication skills are a must.
  • Ability to communicate with all levels of management.
