Job Description

We are looking for a Full-Time Production Lead to join our Stellar Industrial Sales branch located in Mount Pearl, NFL. Reporting to the Branch Manager, the ideal candidate will be technically handy, have strong leadership skills, and be driven to ensure safe, efficient, and high-quality production while supporting excellent customer service. This role also requires the capability to perform customer service representative (CSR) duties, including effective use of computers and supporting customers at the front counter.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day production activities, including industrial and hydraulic hose assembly and related fabrication work.
• Provide hands-on support on the shop floor, meet quality, safety, and delivery standards.
• Coordinate and prioritize production orders to meet customer requirements and deadlines, including rush and special orders.
• Assist store and inside sales staff with technical support on customer orders when needed (product selection, specifications, and feasibility).
• Perform CSR duties as required, including responding to customer inquiries by phone and email, processing orders in the system, and providing courteous, professional service.
• Ensure accurate use of the computer system for work orders, inventory movements, and documentation.
• Review and verify all documentation, prior to releasing completed orders to the shipping department.
• Monitor inventory levels of production-related materials and work with branch staff to maintain adequate stock.

• Promote and enforce safe work practices, housekeeping standards, and adherence to company policies and procedures.

• Identify opportunities to improve production processes, efficiency, and quality, and implement approved improvements.

• Provide training, coaching, and day-to-day guidance to team members as required.

• Collaborate closely with Territory Sales Managers and Inside Sales to ensure seamless execution of quotations, orders, and special projects.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; additional technical education or training is considered an asset.
• Minimum 2–3 years of experience in an industrial production, warehouse, or mechanical environment is a strong asset.
• Technically inclined with the ability to understand and work with industrial and hydraulic hose, fittings, and related products.
• Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple orders and tasks.
• Able to work independently and as part of a team, with an energetic and enthusiastic attitude.
• Demonstrated ability to coach and motivate others and foster a positive, collaborative work environment.
• Forklift Operator Safety Training is an asset.
• Experience in industrial trades would be considered an asset.
• Willing and able to work overtime when needed to meet customer requirements.
• Strong communication skills for effective interaction with customers, Territory Managers, and internal departments.
• Must be legally entitled to work in Canada.
