A Production Lead at Mountville Rubber is responsible for assisting the Production Supervisor and overseeing daily production activities, ensuring safety, quality, and efficiency in operations. This role involves guiding and supporting team members while coordinating with supervisors to meet production goals.

Starting Pay: $24.00/hour ($23 base pay + $1 Shift Differential for 3rd Shift)

Hours: 11PM-7AM

JOB DUTIES:

  • Lead and support a team of operators to ensure production goals are met
  • Monitor safety, quality, and efficiency throughout the shift
  • Train new employees and provide ongoing coaching to team members
  • Ensure proper documentation of production data and any issues encountered
  • Communicate effectively with supervisors and other departments to resolve challenges
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment to support safety and productivity
  • Assist in troubleshooting equipment and process issues as needed
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures
  • Perform other duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Experience mixing rubber and rubber components preferred
  • Operation of Drop Mill and Strip Mill machinery preferred
  • Ability to read and understand control screens
  • Competence in reading a tape measure
  • 2+ years’ experience in a manufacturing setting required; 1 year Crew Lead experience preferred
  • Ability to lift 50lbs

WORK ENVIRONMENT

  • Non-Climate controlled warehouse
  • Due to the production of rubber from powdered chemicals, you will get dirty working at Mountville Rubber.
  • Steel-toe boots are required

The late Emmett Hart established Mountville Mills in 1963 in a small building just outside of LaGrange, Georgia. Hart worked at Callaway Mills for 15 years in the design and development departments before starting his own company with the encouragement of his wife, Nancy.
