Production Improvement Manager - IC Operations

In this role, you have the opportunity to

Drive operational excellence and continuous improvement across the Imaging Components factory, enabling safe, compliant, and predictable manufacturing performance in a regulated medical-device environment.

You are responsible for

  • Maximizing manufacturing performance by optimizing key metrics such as productivity, Cost of Non-Quality, equipment utilization, and overall efficiency through data-driven insights and best practices.

  • Driving improvements in First Pass Yield, Scrap, Rework, Throughput, OEE, and Lead Time across IC operations (1D Grids and DMLS).

  • Maintaining consistency and quality by ensuring compliance with specifications, standardizing processes, work instructions, and performance management systems across production areas.

  • Defining, initiating, and leading Lean/Continuous Improvement projects to streamline processes, eliminate waste, and improve operational flow and value delivery.

  • Driving digitalization and enabling data-driven decision-making within production improvement initiatives in close collaboration with production, engineering, quality, and supply chain.

  • Fostering a collaborative team environment with open communication, mutual respect, and shared accountability to drive sustainable performance and engagement.

You are a part of

The Imaging Components (IC) Operations team, part of Factory Best. You work in a cross-functional environment with production, engineering, quality, and supply chain teams, contributing to a culture of continuous improvement, compliance, and operational excellence in a highly regulated setting.

To succeed in this role, you should have the following skills and experience

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.

  • Proven experience in manufacturing, production improvement, or operational excellence within a high-tech or regulated environment (preferably medical devices).

  • Strong knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Continuous Improvement methodologies (e.g., Lean, Six Sigma), and performance management systems.

  • Demonstrated analytical skills with the ability to use data for problem-solving and driving improvement initiatives.

  • Strong leadership and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence across functions and levels.

  • Excellent communication skills in English (Dutch is a plus).

  • Experience with digitalization initiatives and production data systems is considered an advantage.


How we work together
This is an onsite role, requiring full-time presence at the manufacturing facility to effectively lead improvement initiatives and collaborate closely with cross-functional teams.
