The Electrical Engineering Directorate is responsible for the design, test, manufacture, and support of advanced electrical subsystems (target detection, target tracking, guidance, navigation, signal processing, and communication) to be utilized in extreme battle-field environments.

A candidate with interests, studies, research, or experiences which are technically broad will be a possible fit in our electrical subsystems group. All Candidates will work within a larger team at Raytheon. Interns perform meaningful engineering tasks for their assigned projects but will also have access to a variety of career development opportunities. These include access to technical mentors and the ability to “shadow” experienced professionals to better learn about real industry positions.

What You Will Do:

  • Troubleshooting hardware and process issues down to CCA and component levels.
  • Resolution of issues on production lines and in testing (including suppliers).
  • Failure analysis / root cause determination and corrective action implementation.
  • Create and present electrical engineering drawing update solutions.
  • Investigate and implement process and/or test improvement projects.


Qualifications You Must Have:

  • Must be pursuing Bachelor’s or Advanced degree in Electrical Engineering or related Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) major and actively enrolled through the completion of the internship/co-op session
  • Must have a minimum of 60 hours of credit by the start of the internship / co-op session
  • Experience with one or more of the following: RF, analog, digital, mixed signal, circuit design or analysis.

Qualifications We Prefer:

  • Demonstrated ability to work in a team.
  • Experience in Root-Cause Corrective Action investigations

The salary range for this role is 37,000 USD - 82,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
