About The Role

According to the Plant / Production Manager’s direction and plant production guidance, implement the correct production procedures by and assigning duties to the Senior Chemist & Junior Chemist and directing their activities to ensure the production completed timely in quality and quantity.

How You Will Do It

Supervise production

  • Coordinate and monitor the whole process, schedule, priorities of production in shift and respond to any deviations required arising out of the reports (e.g. shift production performance, quality report from lab, quality control department) by effective corrective actions.
  • Set and continuously update production schedules and regulate work flow to ensure maximum use of machinery / equipment capacity and utility supply at minimum costs and fulfill daily/ weekly/ monthly production plan, including trial production.
  • Ensure optimal use of resources to meet the demand
  • Coordinate with Warehouse Team for timely receiving Raw material as per pull list and timely dispatch of Finished Goods from Plant.

Coordination with Maintenance

  • Interface with maintenance personnel to expedite correction of non-conformances to prevent and minimize the interruption of engineering malfunctioning.
  • Timely resolve regular and minor problems onsite when incident happens. Report to supervisor of any major problems and take corrective action with proper help after approval is obtained.

Quality control

  • Follow plant quality policy and product specifications, ensure to produce quality produce by following production procedures
  • Follow daily inspections in shop floor to ensure high sustained quality product.

Production records

  • Raise relevant production records/statistics to Production Manager / Planner / Operations Leader in order to plan, set and update production schedules when necessary, regulate work flow to ensure maximum use of capacity and efficiency.

Safety and housekeeping

  • Follow corporate, company and statutory EHS requirements, implement the relevant safety and environment protection procedures
  • Ensure that down the line personnel are following all company’s procedure including operations, safety and housekeeping guidelines to maintain a working environment that supports work safety and production activities.
  • Maintenance of pipelines carrying effluent from plant to ETP
  • Takeover the role of safety representative in the shifts.
  • Implement the Responsible care requirement and guidelines on continual basis.

People management

  • Conduct trainings to down the line personnel to update their production methods/skills, as and when required.
  • Manage people in the shifts and ensure proper resources are available as per the safety guidelines

What We Look For

  • Engineering Graduate Chemical technology / Polymer or related
  • More than 5 years of working experience in plant operation, preferably in a PU Polymer plant.
  • Core competencies: Demonstrate customer focus, Act with entrepreneurial drive, Communicate Effectively
  • Professional competencies: Work Management / Planning and Organizing, Safety, Health and Environment Awareness.
