About the opportunity:
The Production Estimator reports to the Production Estimating Manager and is part of the Weeks Estimating team. In this highly rewarding role, your focus will be to accurately determine and calculate quantities required from contract documentation and working drawings. More specifically, your responsibilities will include:
• Ensure the efficient and accurate production of building estimates
• Check contract plans for accuracy prior to release for construction
• Ensure company agreed turnaround timeframes and margin structures are adhered to.
• Complete quantity take-offs for building materials and labour
• Issue and maintain purchase orders in accordance with the current Purchasing / Supplier agreements and methods of measurement
• Complete subcontractor and credit invoices
About you:
You will share a passion for our purpose and be aligned to our core values; better together, be accountable, people matter and think bigger. In addition, you will have:
• Estimating experience in residential construction
• Strong knowledge of Australian residential construction methods, NCC, and relevant Australian Standards.
• Outstanding attention to detail with the ability to meet deadlines
• Exceptional computer skills with a medium to advanced knowledge of Excel
• Experience in Bluebeam, BusinessCraft, and/or Companion systems would be advantageous but is not essential
