Our Construction team has an exciting opportunity for a Production Estimator to join Mirvac and support the commercial delivery of integrated housing developments and package housing products across NSW and VIC.
Our opportunity
As Production Estimator, you will play an important role in preparing accurate construction cost estimates, supporting tendering and procurement activity, managing subcontractor information and helping project teams make informed commercial decisions.
You will work closely with Project Managers, Project Coordinators, Site Managers and subcontractors, contributing across estimating, tendering, procurement tracking, subcontractor management, reporting and cost analysis.
Your opportunity
Preparing detailed construction cost estimates and maintaining accurate project budgets.
Supporting tendering activity, including tender packages, scope of works, tender comparisons, recommendations and approvals.
Coordinating with project teams and subcontractors to review pricing, manage variations and support commercial outcomes.
Maintaining procurement programs, tracking schedules, cost codes and project systems.
Preparing monthly cost reporting, including committed costs, forecast costs, cost-to-complete and cashflow forecasting where required.
Supporting project teams with cost exercises, schedule of rates, supplier information and subcontractor documentation.
Assisting with coaching and supporting Building Cadets in estimating processes and systems.
Your point of difference
You are detail-focused, commercially minded and comfortable working with project teams, systems and data. You bring a collaborative approach, strong communication skills and a genuine commitment to quality, accuracy and doing things properly.
To be successful, you will ideally bring:
Experience in estimating, cost planning, commercial administration or a similar construction-related role.
Experience using project management or estimating systems.
Strong attention to detail, accuracy and time management.
The ability to read and interpret drawings, scopes and trade documentation.
Good knowledge of construction processes, subcontractor management and Australian building standards.
A collaborative mindset and confidence working with internal stakeholders and external partners.
Relevant tertiary qualifications in construction, quantity surveying, building, project management or a related discipline.
