What You Will Achieve
The Production Equipment Specialist (PES) primary responsibility is to support manufacturing operations related to equipment. PES’s may also support capital projects to source and qualify new equipment as well complete equipment upgrades. Each manufacturing line has a PES assigned as the primary resource responsible maintenance efforts throughout the year. During shutdowns, the PES is responsible for ensuring that materials are available to complete maintenance tasks. PES’s are the technical experts that assist Senior Production Operators with troubleshooting and making improvements with the machines. Additionally, the position will support Reliability Engineering initiatives. PES’s report to Maintenance Supervisors.
Order parts as required to repair equipment.
Assists with plant audits.
Makes recommendations on equipment upgrades.
Designs, order parts, and installs machine modification.
Reviews SOPs.
Assists with plant safety programs and safety awareness.
Clearly communicate the supervisor’s instructions and schedules to the employees in accomplishing assignments to meet quality, security, productivity, safety and SOP compliance.
Prepare and update PM tasks relating to production equipment maintenance needs.
Assures smooth or improved operation of production equipment by means of any or all of the following: planning and coordinating maintenance functions with supervisors, Senior Production Operators, and engineering personnel; using historical data to establish and monitor preventive and predictive maintenance procedures; troubleshooting or repair.
Prepares purchase requisitions and traveling requisitions for spare parts used on production equipment. Endeavors to control costs of maintaining production equipment.
Promotes teamwork, a positive work environment and an atmosphere that enhances continuous improvement. Actively participates in meetings and projects.
Assists in training Senior Production Operators and other production personnel for their assigned line responsibilities.
All other duties on an as needed basis including but not limited to shutdown support and project support.
Here Is What You Need (Minimum Requirements)
High School Diploma or GED and 2 years of relevant experience
Ability to trouble shoot through past experience and industry knowledge
Technical understanding and comprehension of mechanical principles
Ability to operate a variety of hand tools and other mechanical equipment
Sense of urgency, accountability, and professionalism
Ability to work well independently and as a team
Must be self-starter able to multi-task and prioritize workload
Bonus Points If You Have (Preferred Requirements)
Technical School/Auto Mechanic Program Certificate and/or minimum of two years of manufacturing equipment maintenance and repair

Non-Standard Work Schedule, Travel or Environment Requirements
Job will require supporting the production schedule which includes certain level of availability on long days, weekends, or alternative shifts.
At different times of the year, this position will work long hours for scheduled manufacturing shutdown periods and throughout the year may be required to work late with little notice as need arises when equipment is unexpectedly down.
Limited travel may be required.
Able to work a 12- hour nights shift, rotating 3/2/2 schedule.

The salary for this position ranges from $28.76 to $47.93 per hour. In addition, this position offers eligibility for overtime, weekend, holiday and other pay premiums depending on the work schedule and the Company’s policies.
