Manufacturing Engineer is an important position for Frame Injection Department as required to develop efficient system, processes and machines to meet the result in high-quality product.

Manufacturing Engineer is required to work close with Operation, Quality, Continuous Improvement, Maintenance and Technical Team to drive the project forward and archive the goal as plan.

My day at EssilorLuxottica

  • Responsible for the whole process performance of the Injection department, including but not limited to the abnormality handling, the analysis of the production issues or production defects, the investigation of such defects root causes, troubleshooting and the definition of corrective/preventive actions to avoid them, customer feedback and complaint management, follow up and solve the problems as cross-functional team leader;
  • Coordinate the Injection quality and engineering team defining the team daily work arrangement and long-term performance improvement plan and team development.
  • Responsible for the daily breakdown & Action temporary and permanent.
  • Responsible for the daily process audit and corrective actions for the audit findings.
  • Work closely with quality team to achieve and improve the production KPIs;
  • Implement projects for the reduction and the continuous improvement of the defect rate, the material extra consumption and the overall operating costs;
  • Provide analysis and reporting on the production KPIs and performance for Injection process to the local and corporate team;
  • Definition of Production SOP and Working Instructions;
  • Responsible for the Injection process documentation and relevant training;
  • Make sure that Safety and 5S principles are followed in the quality team working environment;
  • Readiness NPI transfer smoothly
  • Comply with applicable laws, regulations, and ISO management systems relevant to the company (including ISO 13485, ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and ISO 45001). Manage or participate in related audits, as appropriate.

Must have

  • At least 3 years of experience as a manufacturing, production engineer areas in a related industry;
  • Engineering Degree of Plastic, Mechanics, Chemical or related fields;
  • Experience 2-5 plastic injection molding set up, operation, problem solving, mold maintenance.
  • Good English written and spoken communication;
  • Good computer skills in Microsoft Office, Minitab and AutoCAD 2D;
  • Logical Thinking and Problem Solving, Analysis and generate lesson learn Attitude.
  • Strong coordination, interpersonal and communication skills.
