The Opportunity
The Production Engineer-Electrical will be responsible for optimizing electrical manufacturing processes, ensuring high-quality product output, and driving continuous improvement initiatives within our production facilities. This role involves a blend of technical problem-solving, process development, and collaboration with cross-functional teams to achieve production excellence.
How you'll make an impact
Design, develop, and implement efficient electrical manufacturing processes, procedures, and layouts for new and existing products.
Troubleshoot and resolve electrical production issues, including root cause analysis and implementation of corrective and preventative actions.
Select, specify, and qualify electrical components, equipment, and tooling for production lines.
Develop and maintain detailed electrical assembly instructions, test procedures, and quality control documentation.
Collaborate with R&D, Design Engineering, and Quality Assurance teams to ensure manufacturability of new products and seamless transfer to production.
Identify and implement opportunities for process automation, error-proofing (Poka-Yoke), and waste reduction (Lean manufacturing principles).
Conduct time studies and process capability analyses to optimize production efficiency and reduce cycle times.
Train production personnel on new processes, equipment, and quality standards.
Ensure compliance with safety regulations, quality standards (e.g., ISO), and company policies.
Participate in equipment maintenance planning and support, including calibration and preventative maintenance schedules.

Your background
Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related technical field.
3-5 years of experience in electrical manufacturing or production engineering, preferably within a high-volume manufacturing environment.
Strong understanding of electrical circuits, components, and systems.
Proficiency in reading and interpreting electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical drawings.
Experience with various manufacturing processes, including soldering, wire harnessing, PCB assembly, and electrical testing.
Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing principles, Six Sigma methodologies, and continuous improvement tools.
Demonstrated problem-solving skills and ability to perform root cause analysis.
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and teamwork skills.
Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD Electrical, SolidWorks Electrical) and Microsoft Office Suite.
Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Knowledge of relevant industry standards and safety regulations is a plus.
