Production Engineer

Job Purpose

• Implement and control daily production operational activities in order to ensure highest and most effective performance for all team to keep optimum operation conditions for all daily production lines with highest equipment availability, maximum productivity and highest product quality to achieve the production objectives.

Key Responsibilities

Key Accountabilities:

• Implement Lafarge Safety Standards and Integrate safety into all operations and ensure working conditions and safety at work (Lafarge employees and contractors).
• Implement Lafarge environmental compliances regarding main stacks emissions and fugitive dust.
• Operate the production line with achieving the quality targets in all cement types.

1-Health & Safety:

1. Adhere to and enforce relevant legislation, as well as the Company's HSE Policies, Rules, and Standards.
2. Ensure the highest degree of safety and safe working practices are maintained at all times.
3. Follow all HSE Procedures, both Management and Operational.
4. Commit to gain all HSE competencies and capabilities relevant to the job role, as outlined in the country HSE training matrix (mandatory for the position or required based on the individual's activities).

2-Functional:

Monitor the stock levels of raw materials required for different cement types, including gypsum, pozzolana, and various clinker types, to ensure uninterrupted plant operations and prevent material shortages.

• Ensure the reliability, efficiency, and optimal utilization of ball sorting machines to support consistent production performance.
• Track material inventory and maintain variance between physical stock and reported figures within 5%.
• Monitor cement silo inventory and maintain variance within 5% of reported figures by ensuring timely implementation of the scheduled calibration process.
• Track the Implementation of the WBI quality and quantity
• Ensure that all cement mills equipment are working efficiently and enhance NAI
• Follow up on the delivery schedule of strength enhancers and grinding aids to ensure continuous and timely supply, supporting uninterrupted operations and compliance with quality standards.
• Daily, weekly, monthly analysis for down time of cement mills, agree for corrective actions
• Execute and to stick to the production plan in accordance with the required work standards and maintaining the equipment proper condition to ensure production continuity with minimum down time.
• Plan and Stick to the preventive maintenance schedule and ensure the execution of the planned activities.
• Implement the protocol of new required trials of new products or enhance the current products.

Education

Qualifications & Experience

Education:

• Bachelor’s Degree of Engineering or Science.

Technical Skills:

• Health and Safety rules and policy.
• Cement production process, cement chemistry and cement types.
• Environmental policy and emissions safety regulations and procedures
• Coal and Petcoke safety and Fuel grinding.

Experience:

• 1-3 years of experience.
