Job Title: Production Department Manager – Red Wing, MN
Salary Range: $82,560 - $110,040
Role & Responsibilities:
· Effectively leads the Production Department comprised of 21 employees, which includes: 1 Foreman, 6 Supervisors, 12 Operators, 1 Compliance Coordinator, and 1 Supply Chain Operator.
· This position is accountable for the manufacturing operations of both mineral wool lines, supply chain, quality and environmental compliance.
· Incorporates safety into all aspects of the operation and ensures that safe working conditions, actions and practices exist and are followed at all times.
· Ability to proactively develop and implement process improvements to meet operating requirements over the short and long term.
· Interested in working with alternative resources in USG on manufacturing new products to respond to market trends.
· Support and facilitate capital project implementation.
· Lead continuous improvement initiatives within the department.
· Ability to develop workforce potential and provide coaching to motivate direct reports and your team to foster employee engagement
Qualifications & Requirements:
· Bachelor’s degree in Engineering preferred.
· Leadership aptitude needed to manage and develop others.
· Proven communication, decision making and employee relations skills. Capacity to engage employees and effectively build rapport.
· Results-oriented, with demonstrated abilities to accomplish tasks on schedule and operate within cost constraints.
· Knowledgeable of safety compliance programs.
· Adept at problem-solving, decision-making, and strategic planning.
· Ability to handle multiple projects and prioritize tasks.
· Track record driving continuous improvement. Prior exposure to LEAN Management is a plus.

Rate of pay may be adjusted based on the qualifications and experience of the candidate.

The cost of these optional programs varies based on coverage level - employees generally pay 25% of the monthly premium cost, USG pays the rest.
