Job Summary:

Panelmatic is seeking a detail-oriented experienced Production Coordinator Lead. The Production Coordinator will coordinate production schedules and manufacturing activities.

Job Duties:

  • Coordinate production schedules, priorities, and manufacturing activities to support on-time delivery.
  • Serve as a primary point of contact for production coordination and schedule-related issues.
  • Monitor daily production progress and proactively identify potential delays, constraints, or bottlenecks.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Production, Engineering, Purchasing, Inventory, Quality, Supply Chain, and Logistics, to resolve production issues.
  • Assign, track, and follow up on action items while holding task owners accountable to committed deadlines.
  • Ensure all required stage gates are completed and verified prior to Clear-to-Build.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date production schedules, records, trackers, and status reports.
  • Provide regular production status updates and communicate changes, risks, and recovery plans to appropriate stakeholders.
  • Coordinate material, labor, information, and other production requirements to support manufacturing schedules.
  • Monitor workflow and production capacity to identify opportunities to improve throughput and efficiency.
  • Escalate production risks and issues in a timely manner and help drive corrective actions to resolution.
  • Support root-cause analysis and continuous improvement initiatives related to production delays, quality issues, and process inefficiencies.
  • Assist in prioritizing work based on customer commitments, production requirements, material availability, and business needs.
  • Partner with Inventory and Purchasing to identify and resolve material shortages or supply constraints that may impact production.
  • Coordinate with Quality to ensure required inspections, documentation, and quality requirements are completed before production milestones.
  • Support timely delivery of finished products by maintaining visibility of production status through completion and shipment.
  • Identify opportunities to improve scheduling processes, communication, workflow, and overall operational efficiency.
  • Help establish and maintain standardized processes, procedures, and best practices for production coordination.
  • Provide guidance and day-to-day leadership to Production Coordinators and/or other team members as assigned.
  • Serve as a resource and escalation point for less experienced coordinators.
  • Promote a culture of accountability, urgency, teamwork, safety, quality, and continuous improvement.
  • Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Requirements

Minimum Qualifications:

  • 4–7 years of experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably within metal manufacturing/fabrication.
  • Previous experience in one or more of the following areas:
  • Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, production flow, and shop operations.
  • Demonstrated ability to coordinate multiple projects, priorities, and deadlines simultaneously.
  • Strong understanding of production scheduling and time management.
