About the role

We are seeking an Apparel Production Coordinator to support the end-to-end production process across Oroton's apparel categories. Working closely with the Production Manager, this role plays a key part in coordinating production activities, managing critical path milestones, supporting supplier communications, maintaining product and costing information, and ensuring products are delivered on time, in full and to Oroton's quality standards. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys working across multiple stakeholders and thrives in a fast-paced product environment.

This is 12 month contract position covering a parental leave period, and is based in our Melbourne Design Studio in Abbotsford.

Key responsibilities

  • Support critical path management and key production milestones across seasonal ranges
  • Raise and maintain purchase orders, product information and production records
  • Track TOP sample approvals and assist with bulk production readiness
  • Maintain costing information, product data and reporting accuracy
  • Support supplier communications and follow up production timelines to ensure timely delivery
  • Assist with quality control processes, fabric testing and inspection coordination
  • Monitor claims, returns and quality issues, escalating concerns as required
  • Support booking chart management and provide production updates to internal teams
  • Coordinate QC inspections and maintain supporting documentation
  • Assist with invoice processing and production administration activities
  • Monitor supplier compliance documentation and testing requirements
  • Contribute to process improvements across production workflows and systems
  • Build strong relationships with suppliers and internal stakeholders across Design, Merchandising, Supply Chain and Retail teams

What you’ll bring

  • 4+ years' Experience within a fashion, apparel, retail or product development environment
  • Strong organisational skills with exceptional attention to detail
  • Experience coordinating production, sourcing or critical path activities
  • Strong communication and relationship management skills
  • Experience working with offshore suppliers and manufacturing partners is highly regarded
  • Commercial awareness and an understanding of product costings and production processes
  • Strong Excel and reporting skills
  • Experience using ERP systems or similar business platforms
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
  • A collaborative approach and willingness to learn and grow within a production team
