Eventscape is looking for a skilled and hands-on Production Coordinator to help bring complex architectural projects to life.
This role is responsible for planning, coordinating, and expediting manufacturing activities within a custom architectural fabrication environment. This role serves as the critical link between project management, design, procurement, and shop floor operations to ensure that high-quality, custom products are delivered on schedule and within budget.

The ideal candidate brings hands-on experience in structural steel fabrication, metal finishing processes, and high-end architectural millwork, with a strong understanding of custom, project-based manufacturing.

As the Production Coordinator you will:

RESPONSIBILITIES
Production Planning & Coordination

  • Develop and maintain detailed production schedules for multiple concurrent custom fabrication projects.
  • Coordinate workflow across departments including structural steel fabrication, millwork, finishing, and assembly.
  • Monitor production progress and proactively resolve bottlenecks to maintain project timelines.
  • Collaborate with Project Managers and Shop Supervisors to ensure alignment with project scope, sequencing, and deadlines.


Estimating & Material Take-Offs

  • Prepare accurate material take-offs from architectural drawing sets, shop drawings, and production drawings.
  • Analyze project documentation to determine material quantities, finishes, hardware, and fabrication requirements.
  • Support procurement and project teams with material forecasting and cost awareness.


Procurement & Vendor Management

  • Source, evaluate, and qualify new vendors and subcontractors for fabrication, finishing, and specialty services.
  • Solicit pricing from vendors and subcontractors based on project scope and specifications.
  • Analyze quotes to ensure completeness, competitiveness, and technical compliance.
  • Issue purchase requests and coordinate with procurement to ensure timely ordering of materials and services.
  • Maintain strong working relationships with vendors to support quality and schedule performance.


Cross-Functional Communication

  • Act as the central communication point between design, procurement, finishing, and production teams.
  • Review shop drawings, RFIs, and specifications to ensure production readiness.
  • Track and communicate status updates, risks, and changes to internal stakeholders.
  • Material & Process Coordination
  • Coordinate availability of raw materials, purchased components, and subcontracted services.
  • Ensure proper sequencing of fabrication, finishing, and assembly processes.
  • Work closely with finishing vendors and internal teams to manage:
  • Paint systems
  • Powder coating
  • Anodizing
  • Electroplating


Logistics, Packaging & Delivery

  • Coordinate packaging requirements to ensure product protection and compliance with project/site conditions.
  • Plan and manage delivery logistics, including scheduling shipments, coordinating carriers, and tracking deliveries.
  • Work with site teams and project managers to align delivery timing & sequence with installation schedules.
  • Ensure proper documentation and labeling for shipments.


Quality & Compliance

  • Support quality control processes to ensure products meet architectural specifications and standards.
  • Verify that fabrication and finishing processes align with approved submittals.
  • Assist in resolving quality issues and implementing corrective actions.


Documentation & Reporting
Maintain accurate production tracking logs, schedules, and job status reports.
Update ERP or project management systems with real-time production data.
Prepare production and procurement reports for management review.

REQURIED QUALIFICATIONS

  • 3–7 years of experience in a custom manufacturing or fabrication environment.
  • Proven experience coordinating multi-material production involving:
  • Structural steel fabrication
  • Metal finishing (paint, powder coating, anodizing, plating)
  • High-end architectural millwork
  • Solid Surface & Composite Materials (ie. Corian)
  • Strong understanding of custom, non-repetitive (engineered-to-order) production processes.
  • Ability to read and interpret architectural drawings, shop drawings, and specifications.
  • Excellent organizational and multitasking skills in a fast-paced environment.


PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Experience in architectural metal and millwork contracting or specialty fabrication.
  • Familiarity with ERP/MRP systems and production scheduling tools.
  • Knowledge of finishing standards (AAMA, ASTM, AWS, etc.).
  • Lean manufacturing or continuous improvement experience is an asset.
